Perhaps there are a lot of you who don’t know about my fascination with bridges, buildings, structures – I think I should have been an engineer! I find it totally amazing when majestic marvels all come together in beauty and functionality, be they freeways, homes, or dams. The Hoover Dam began construction in 1931 and was opened in 1935. I’ve linked you to Wikipedia for all the pertinent facts, but when you actually look at the dam and then see the mere ropes that held those brave men who drilled, exploded walls, etc. it makes it even more amazing.
Hoover in the morning, tour boats on the Colorado River. The colors of the surrounding mountains are beautiful. These colors are from just in front of the dam.Sunset at the dam.
The view from the Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.
The view from the overlook north of the dam with the new Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge or Hoover Dam Bypass.
Was enjoying photography and retirement until my youngest son contracted Valley Fever while working. Now, I haven’t written any posts or taken many photos (very few anyway). I struggle with remembering all my settings since not using them. There are plans afoot to start my blog again.

Look at that color!!
It seems like you are enjoying your journey! It is official. I will be retiring this June instead of a year from now. My school offered a golden handshake that was too good to refuse.
I am a man who believes romance should never die, movies make for a great night, custom suiting is a must and creating a legacy is one's purpose. A man who holds true to this understands the gentleman's lifestyle.
